Dear Orondo Families & Community,

I am honored to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year and to serve as your Superintendent. I took an oath of office this last July promising to uphold and serve the community of Orondo to the best of my ability and I want you to know that it is such a privilege to be able to do so. Fall is an exciting time in the eyes of our little ones and for our staff. It’s a time to dream big and hope for the bright future ahead and all the learning that will take place. It’s also a time to reflect on where we have been and where we want to go. Here at Orondo School District, our staff inspires and challenges our students to grow and achieve all that they can and gives them the tools to chase after their own dreams.

I invite you to dream big with me as we continue to build a bright future for Orondo’s youth and provide opportunities that allow them to rise to new heights. That’s what eagles do, we rise.

The community of Orondo is such a strong support to our local schools.The surrounding beauty of this region, coupled with the amazing people, make this an exceptional place to be. I am so excited and honored to serve the Orondo Community and to partner with surrounding communities.

As your Superintendent, I hope to:

Inspire and empower others to dream big for and with the students, families, and community in order to help every child flourish and succeed
Provide a vision for the district based on these dreams that allow us to continue to grow and support an already amazing school system

Together, we can provide an integrated and supportive approach that ultimately allows every student to chase after their own dreams for high school and beyond. I look forward to partnering with you and serving the community to make our dreams a reality.

Driving Directions

From the South:

From Wenatchee continue on Hwy 2/97 across the Columbia River toward East Wenatchee
Turn left; or from East Wenatchee - continue on Sunset Highway remaining on the East side of the river, follow Highway 2/97.
Approximately 12 miles you will pass the Orondo Market and fuel station
Continue on Highway 97 approximately 1.5 miles
Turn left in the turn lane into the school
The District office is the older brick building straight ahead.
The Elementary building is at the right as you turn off of the highway

From Waterville:

Take highway 2 south out of Waterville
In approximately 9 miles Highway 2 will join Highway 97
Turn right to Continue on Highway 97 approximately 1.5 miles
Turn left in the turn lane into the school
The District office is the older brick building straight ahead.
The Elementary building is at the right as you turn off of the highway

From Chelan:

Leave Chelan going east on SR 150 (Chelan Falls Rd) about 3 miles
and turn right (south) onto Highway 97
Cross the Columbia River at Beebe Bridge, in approximately 21 miles
Orondo School will be on the right.

Interlocal and Cooperative Agreements

Orondo School District participates in interlocal cooperative agreements to provide for many of the materials and/or services we use.

ESD112 provides Special Education Services and Support for our district.

Puget Sound Joint Purchasing Cooperative Agreement

Puget Sound Joint Purchasing processes bids through KCDA for food products, supplies, services and equipment, commodity processing, storage and food transportation services.

Report Card and Adequate Yearly Progress

Washington State Report Card for Orondo Orondo Elementary and Middle School staff is committed to the success of our school and to provide a quality education for each of our students. Our goals for the 2022-23 school year focus on continued acceleration of our reading and math achievement. Our Student and School Success Action Plan address's our next steps in improving learning outcomes for our students. We closely monitor and support each student's academic progress. We encourage parents to stay in touch with their child's educational program and to extend and support learning in the home. Parents are always welcome at our school. We will offer multiple opportunities for parents to become acquainted with our new curriculum and to learn about ways to help your child succeed.
