RETURN TO HOMEPAGE

Our Orondo School Motto, Together We Can Make a Difference reminds us that everything worth doing is done best in partnership.  We are proud of our students and honored to continue a tradition of service in our community.

The Orondo School is a place where each student is known personally.  Learning doesn’t end at the point of a pencil.  Our teachers and staff support the academic, social and personal development of each child.  We are committed to finding our student’s strengths and to seeking avenues to bring out the best in each one.

The Orondo School is a place where parents can know their child’s teacher personally.  Parents are welcome to stop by, whether it’s to follow up on a question or just to say hello.  Parents drop off lunches, visit class parties, call about homework, or check in to see how things are going.  We welcome your call whether you have a question or just want to let us know about something that matters to your child and you.

The Orondo School is a place where learning happens in the classroom and in the community.  Our instruction and textbooks follow state standards.  We use multiple measures to track student progress toward these standards, including the state’s Washington Assessment of Student Learning and the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress.  And we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom.  That’s why our students participate in field trips to track and observe butterflies, study fish and sea life, and become acquainted with science, history, and government.  We promote citizenship with service projects and participation at community events.  Our coaches instill in each athlete that the Orondo Eagles are known not only for their skills on the track or in the gym, but also for their sportsmanship and camaraderie

It is a pleasure to work with you as together we make a difference for our students.
